The OnePlus 15R is a specialized device designed for gamers and power users who prioritize sustained performance and multi-day battery endurance above all else. While it offers a premium build and a gorgeous 165Hz display, it makes significant concessions in photography—specifically the removal of a dedicated telephoto lens—that alienate camera enthusiasts. It is a highly practical, albeit uninspired, evolution of the R-series that succeeds as a gaming machine but struggles to justify its price hike against its predecessor.

Reviews span a period where initial excitement for the battery was tempered by disappointment regarding the camera downgrade compared to the 13R.
The OnePlus 15R is a battery-sipping, performance-heavy device that succeeds as a utility-first smartphone. While it is not the versatile flagship-killer its predecessors were due to its camera limitations, it remains an excellent choice for those who value speed and endurance. If photography is not your focus, the 15R is a reliable, high-end daily driver.
